CONCERTO FOR HAVING FUN WITH ELVIS ON STAGE

Elvis holds a mysterious, orange vinyl record in his hands. A classical trio stands at the ready. The needle drops and the concerto begins, blurring the lines between sound and body, black and white, past and present.

Lasting the duration of a 331/3 rpm LP,  Concerto for Having Fun with Elvis on Stage  is the dismantling of an icon:  the collision of a 'dead' recording with a 'living' body — in this case, a vaudeville pantomime.
